Effect of Long-term Fertilization and Manuring on Soil Enzyme Activity in Rice-rice Cropping System in Semi-arid Southern India

Nutrient management practices have huge influence on soil biological health. The present study was conducted during kharif-2021 in the on-going AICRP LTFE after 21 years of continuous application fertilizers and manures to estimate enzymatic activities i.e., urease dehydrogenase activity at different growth stages rice crop. In all treatments, enzymes exhibited higher flowering stage thereafter decreased towards harvesting Among FYM 100% NPK+FYM treatments recorded highest activity, respectively as compared with other treatments. Balanced fertilizer NPK also significantly imbalanced N NP crop period. Integrated nutrient (100%NPK+FYM), are best treatment respect, increasing Grain yield varied from 4078 kg ha-1 6569 ha-1during kharif-2021. maximum grain (6569 ha-1) obtained NPK+FYM. Lower (4078 N. use inorganic organic manure resulted parameters rice. combined well source plant nutrients could be a sustainable option for optimizing rice-rice cropping system semi-arid southern India.
